The Girl Behind The Lens

I still remember the day I got my first DSLR camera. My brother said to me, "You're probably going to love it and end up becoming a wedding photographer." "Nahhh." I replied. Well...the joke's on me. And the best part? I LOVE it. I am so passionate about photography and the business I've been blessed to call my own for over a decade.

I love sharing my passion with others. There is no greater joy to me than having the opportunity to capture some of life's biggest, most beautiful, fleeting moments. I want to hear your story, and I want to learn about what makes you, you. By the time your wedding day comes, I want you to feel like your day is being captured not just by some girl you found online, but by your new friend.

During the week, you’ll usually find me working with a homemade latte or an Olipop in my hand! In my free time, you’ll find me working on house projects with my husband in our new home, golfing (poorly), or relaxing and watching one of our favorite shoes (Friends, The Office, or a variety of crime shows and documentaries).

My husband, Luke, and I are also very involved at our church. While I do not offer wedding videography as a part of my business, ironically, I am the video director of our church! Luke is an engineer during the week, but is also one of our church’s worship directors. I know I am a little biased, but he has an incredible voice, and has even sung at some weddings I have photographed.

Not a fan of those super awkward, posey photos where you stand there feeling like a statue? Me neither. I will guide you every step of the way, but I am here for the genuine laughs, the giggles, the dancing, teasing, fun photos — the real moments.

So much planning goes into your big day, so it is so important to capture all of those little, beautiful details so you can remember them forever. Choosing a photographer is a big deal, and I get that. I'd love to see if we are the right fit for each other! I can't wait to talk with you more and see how we can make some magic together.

I’ve been in your shoes.

After planning my own wedding in 2022, I understand exactly what it’s like to be where you are as a bride. All of the decisions, the details, and the excitement as the day gets closer and closer. I truly feel that being on the other side has helped me learn how to come alongside my couples on their wedding day more than ever. I understand the importance of capturing every detail, the in-between moments, the tears, and the joy on a whole other level.

“The person who dances with you in the rain will most likely walk with you in the storm.”

I used this quote in my wedding vows on the rainiest day of 2022 in Pittsburgh, our wedding day. Are you worried about rain on your wedding day? I’m your girl. I can tell you with all of the confidence in the world that it could not possibly rain on your day more than it did on ours. And the best news? The rain didn’t ruin our day. Not even close. It did, however, make for some amazing memories, photos, laughs, and stories that we will never forget. My best advice for wedding day rain? Embrace it. Run in it. Dance in it. You won’t regret it. I promise.

I knew she was a great photographer from her portfolio (that’s why I chose her!) but I was amazed by her professionalism and the way she could put my husband and I at ease while taking our pictures.
